Devices brought to CA Mart for repair, trade-in, sale, or assessment may contain personal information. We recommend backing up important data and signing out of accounts before handing over your device whenever possible.

Devices brought in for repair

When a device is submitted for repair, our technicians may need limited access to certain device functions to diagnose the issue, complete the repair, or test the device afterward.

CA Mart does not intentionally access personal files, photos, messages, contacts, or other private content unless access is reasonably necessary to provide the requested service.

Devices sold or traded in

When you sell or trade in a device, we recommend that you back up your information, sign out of accounts, remove security locks where required, and erase personal data before transferring the device to CA Mart.

CA Mart may perform a data wipe as part of the intake or processing procedure. Any residual personal information discovered on a transferred device will be treated as confidential and removed where reasonably possible.

Once ownership of a device has been transferred to CA Mart, customers should not rely on CA Mart as a backup or storage service for any information remaining on the device.
